Don’t be afraid to dive into the Unknown and leave your comfort zone!

Monthly newsletter October 2019

Everything we are very comfortable with now was unknown for us in the beginning.

For example, every friend was a stranger. By opening our hearts we connected with that stranger – and became friends.

But there are other less-wonderful things that can happen when we open our hearts. Maybe we opened them to someone who hurt us. That hurt made our heart close. We became afraid to trust. And when we can’t trust, we can’t connect.

We have to keep diving into life,  into the unknown person, place or idea – and even if we were hurt, we have to trust again. And again. Trust is the key that opens the heart closed by hurt and fear.

“One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again.”- Abraham Maslow

Leaving the comfort zone is the key to living a full and present life. So – no matter what hurt you’ve felt – don’t be afraid of new people, new practices, new ideas. Let your heart stay open and dive into the unknown!

“The only thing that is stopping you from where you are to where you want to go is your comfort zone.” – Dhaval Gaudier
