According to Chinese Medicine the element water correlates with Winter and is about our courage and will. The power of water is that it gives us the flexibility and fluidity to create future movement. Like a seed buried under the winter soil contains the potential for life which will be able to sprout spontaneously in the Spring, the Courage and Will conveyed by the water element helps us push ahead against all obstacles in our path. It is our will, courage and instincts that help determine our life’s purpose.
This workshop will focus on Yin Yoga poses which stimulate the flow of the Qi in the Kidneys and Urinary Bladder, and return harmony to out-of-balance emotions like fear. We will discuss how to keep the Water element harmonised, and a printed handout will be provided.

- understand the relevant Yin-Yang meridians which work to balance the emotions and physical conditions associated with the particular season, element, and organs;
- begin to understand the principles of TCM and how applying those principles to healthy living, through the practice of Yin Yoga, can improve your health and well-being in ways that are both subtle and dramatic;
- see how you can experience better sleep, stronger resistance to colds and flu, heightened energy and boosted mood, and better physical and mental flexibility resulting from the combination of Yin Yoga and TCM.
