Many years ago Leontien was introduced to yoga during her pregnancy. Over the years she became a loyal student and practitioner of Vinyasa flow. Because she wanted to learn more about the various asanas and the philosophy of yoga Leontien enrolled in a Vinyasa and Yin Teacher Training. She enjoys teaching, passing on the infinite benefits of practicing yoga.
In her classes, Leontien focuses on the synchronization of movement and breath. She wants her students to become aware of their body, the range of motion their body is capable of. It is not about how ‘good’ one is in performing an asana, but about really feeling the impact of the asana on the body as well as on the heart and mind. It is Leontien’s intention her students take home peace of mind and positive energy.
