Introduction to Pilates & Yoga – 4 weeks course

With this course you will learn the basics of Pilates and Yin and Yang Yoga

Pilates is a system of exercise and movement that is designed to increase strength, flexibility, and balance. Pilates integrates breath and movement  with proper body mechanics to increase greater physical and mental awareness of how the body moves and feels. Most Pilates exercises focus on the pelvis and trunk, using both stability and mobility to train the body. You can practice Pilates on a Mat using your own body and sometimes with small props.

Yoga comes in many styles, ranging from the gentle to the challenging – physically mentally. We will explain differences and similarities of both styles (yin – passive and yang – dynamic practice). We will practice standing poses, sun salutations, balance and sitting poses. Attention will be paid to breathing exercises.

Practical Tips

  • Eat light before class

  • Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in

  • Arrive on time so you start your class relaxed

  • Inform your teacher about injuries or other conditions
