Welcome to the quietest and most reflective month of the year
Dear Yogis,
Welcome to the quietest and most reflective month of the year. December brings more than long evenings and cold air — it offers a time of stillness, closure, and creating space for what’s new.
This month, we invite you to a practice that supports softness, regeneration, and conscious transition through this season of change.
Theme of the Month:“Slow Down to Hear Yourself”
In the rush of everyday life, it’s easy to lose touch with your inner voice. December is a perfect moment to return to gentleness — in both body and mind.
This month our classes will focus on:
-
yin and restorative practices,
-
extended relaxation and breathwork techniques,
-
gentle sequences to release winter tension.
Practice of the Month: Heart-Warming Breath
Try this simple technique each morning:
-
Place your hands on your chest.
-
Inhale slowly to a count of 4.
-
Hold the breath for 2.
-
Exhale to a count of 6.
-
Repeat 10 times.
This breath calms the nervous system and brings warmth into cold winter days.
In Closing
May December be a month of softness, stillness, and self-care.
I wish you peaceful holidays filled with presence, breath, and light.
Namaste,
Katri
